Dr. Jeffrey W. Phillips D.D.S., P.S.
|
Dr. Jeffrey W. Phillips D.D.S., P.S. Biography Hi! My name is Dr. Jeff Phillips. I grew up in Tacoma where I attended Stadium High School. In 1972, I graduated from the University of Washington Dental School. I was an Air Force dentist for two years before starting my practice at Silverdale Dental Center in 1974. For three years, during my career at Silverdale Dental Center, I wrote a monthly dental article for the Kitsap, then Bremerton, Sun Newspaper. I am a strong supporter of the dental benefits of fluoride and wrote an original article on fluoride dosing and application for Kitsap County children. This paper was distributed to physicians and dentists throughout the county. Over the years, I have had the pleasure to practice with many excellent dentists here at Silverdale Dental Center. I am particularly delighted to currently be surrounded by two outstanding dentists: Dr. Jason Niemeyer, and Dr. Sherrill Conner. My family includes daughter, Jenny and husband Tim, who live in Seattle with my first grandchildren Jimmy and Phoebe. My son, John, is in the U.S. Marines, and will soon be deployed to the Middle East. Daughter, Jessie, works for Western Washington University in Bellingham. My eleven year old son, Sam, is at home on Bainbridge Island. My hobbies include gardening, boating, and running. For the last few years I have been doing distance running and have participated in marathons in Victoria, Seattle, Paris, Washington D.C., China, Nepal, and Boston. For the last eighteen months, I have been running a half marathon a month to stay “tuned-up” for marathons. In 2009, I expect to participate in the Boston marathon in April and the New York marathon in November. Health and fitness are important to me as we travel our path of life. I love dentistry and our “family” of staff and patients here at Silverdale Dental Center. Retirement??? Not for a decade or more as my son, Sam, is keeping me young and enthusiastic about our life in the Pacific Northwest. A sincere “Thank You” to all our loyal patients from over the years and “Welcome” to any of you who are considering joining our dental family here at Silverdale Dental Center. I am honored to continue providing ethical, safe, comfortable dentistry with a variety of treatment options. ..... He’s

Dr. Jason Niemeyer D.D.S.
|
Dr. Niemeyer D.D.S., P.S. Biography I am Dr. Jason Niemeyer. I was raised in Oroville, a small town in northern California. I grew up playing competitive sports with two great brothers and we were supported each step of the way by our loving parents. I attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, where I received my BA in Biology. At PLNU I met my wife, Winter Mitchell, who was born and raised in Bremerton. She introduced me to the wonderful state of Washington, and we were married here in Kitsap County on a beautiful July afternoon. My interest in biology, my love for fixing things with my hands, and a desire to help people all led me to a career in dentistry. I attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, in southern California. Winter and I have now moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and have not once regretted it. I have been warmly welcomed into the family here at Silverdale Dental Center. It has been a fantastic experience joining Drs. Phillips and Conner in this high quality practice. In my spare time I enjoy staying active. I am an avid golfer, and also enjoy snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, running, racquetball, lifting weights, and mountain biking. During my time off Winter and I love to read and enjoy cooking together and experimenting with new recipes. We also have a passion for traveling to new places, especially short day trips around the Northwest. A couple of things few people know about me are: I have an irrational fear of crocodiles, I once ran with the bulls in Spain, and I am working on becoming an aspiring photographer. I am proud to be a part of this outstanding team and hope to enrich their practice. |

Dr. Sherrill Conner, D.D.S. |
Dr. Sherrill Conner, D.D.S., P.S. Biography I am Dr. Sherrill Conner. I am originally from the town of Alameda in northern California. I relocated, along with my wife and two sons, to Kitsap County in 1995 and have never regretted the move. We love living in Washington and enjoying all that the Northwest has to offer. I graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974 as a pre law student. I finally came to my senses and ultimately graduated from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry. Upon graduation I assumed my grandfather’s practice in Alameda which he had started in 1926. It was fun to see children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren of his original patients. In 1995 my wife and I discussed making a change and decided to move north; we have never looked back. Washington has been a great place to raise our two terrific sons. Zack and Logan are both at UW; Zack is a sophomore and Logan a freshman. I also have a daughter Alison who is going to school to enter the world of fashion in Southern California. I had the great privilege of joining Drs. Phillips and Niemeyer and the staff at the Silverdale Dental Center in June of 2008. I find it to be a rewarding place to practice due to the emphasis on high quality and compassionate patient care. I trust you will find the same to be true. Besides dentistry, I enjoy time with my family, sports, reading and I periodically attempt to teach myself how to play guitar. Eric Clapton has nothing to worry about. I am a member of the American and Washington State dental societies and am a great believer in continuing education to stay abreast of new procedures, techniques and materials. |
