Hi, I am Dr. Kaitlin (Poppe) Neste.
I was born in Portland, Oregon but moved to up to Silverdale when I was 6 months old, and I’ve actually been a lifelong patient of Silverdale Dental Center. It's very exciting to be back home serving the community I grew up in.
I graduated from Central Kitsap High School and obtained my undergrad degree in biochemistry from the University of Washington. I liked being a Husky so much that I stuck around for dental school at the UW too. I graduated with my D.D.S., finishing in the top 5 of my class, and I was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
I have always loved working with children, so pursuing pediatric dentistry was an easy fit for me. I completed a two-year pediatrics residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. During my residency I received extensive hands-on training at the leading children’s hospitals in the Dallas area and was trained by some of the leaders in the Pediatric Dental community.
I am an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
In my spare time I love staying active. I met my husband, Jeff, while at the UW, and together we love cheering on the Huskies. We love the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and you can find us most weekends our running, hiking, hanging out at the beach, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. We have one fur baby, our Sheepadoodle Penny. Just ask me and I’ll show you lots of pictures of her!
